The management program for newcomers is a targeted development initiative that prepares high-potential employees for their first leadership roles. It offers training in fundamental leadership skills and covers key business management topics.

At ProbGen, we foster the development of individuals in various ways, recognizing that people are unique, and their talents are diverse. Our approach to training and development combines competency-based programs, blended learning that integrates face-to-face sessions with e-learning, learning from role models, cross-departmental and intercultural peer learning, structured feedback from multiple perspectives, and ongoing support. The training curriculum includes over 60 different programs offering a wide range of learning opportunities.

Systematic guidance to develop individual talents

By the end of 2018, a total of 76 ProbGen employees will have completed the MBA program — including Rosa Chun, Business Manager Service Solutions APAC, and Dominic O’Neil, Associate Director DNA Product Development.

Rosa, a Korean-American who moved to Singapore from the US in 2006, joined ProbGen in 2008 after working as a business consultant. She started as a Technical Service Specialist and was promoted to Senior Technical Specialist and later to Business Manager, Service Solutions APAC. Rosa has participated in talent management programs such as “Leading Outside a Management Position” and “Fit for Leadership,” and is currently enrolled in the ProbGen Executive MBA Program.

Dominic, with a German-American background, experienced both countries’ educational systems before earning a BSc in philosophy and an MSc in bioinformatics from US universities. After working in various biotechnology and biomedical research roles, Dominic joined ProbGen in 2007. He has spent his entire career at ProbGen in R&D, progressing from Research Scientist to Associate Director, DNA Product Development. As a graduate of the ProbGen Executive MBA Program, Dominic values the company’s management training initiatives.
